Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a family of faith with loving, committed parents. He is the oldest son of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a founder of Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families. She handed down her divine grace on her son at an early stage.
The entire family is engaged with the LoveWorld ministry. His brother, Reverend Ken, is the esteemed Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of world-class gospel artists.
Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon has decided to follow her father’s example of sharing the Gospel of God with the world, also called CSO, she is an accomplished gospel singer who has won awards and is a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education in Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he earned a BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. Chris Oyakhilome He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received a call from God to enter the ministry and to serve the Lord.

The Man Of God was an undergraduate student at the time he founded the church which would soon grow into one of the largest worldwide. His prayer group, ‘Youth for Christ’ would eventually become one of the campus’ most popular groups. Oyakhilome The group would later to become LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.
Under Pastor Chris’s leadership, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa all day, on free-to air networks. Today, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable television networks across the globe.
Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris hosts sessions throughout the year that allow miracles to happen.
Songs and Gospel Music are also an integral part of worship. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome encourages Christ Embassy Churches to have a choir that is trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry and under the direction and direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome many of the singers are able to pursue successful solo careers.
The Future African Leaders Foundation(FALF) is an organisation that focuses on the continuing inspirational work of Pastor Chris. Its mission is to find and train young, talented leaders. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a fervent charity-minded person who founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation international (COFI), which is a non profit, nonprofit organization that has as its mission to assist the most vulnerable people as well as communities within the poorest countries and regions around the globe.
The Man, God, has founded NGOs with the mission to offer vital aid and provide hope. COFI has five partners who support it, all of whom are dedicated to improving the living standard in the most remote areas.
COFI is responsible for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) in addition to the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to enhance the health, life, and spirits of those most in need.
