Pastor Chris The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December 7 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a household of faith, surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest son born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her faith in God’s grace upon her son at an early age.
The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of the entire family. His brother, Reverend Ken, is the esteemed pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of top gospel artists in the world.
Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon, who is also referred to by the name of CSO, has chosen to follow the footsteps of her father and share the Gospel of God the world. She is a gifted, award-winning gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education in Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he received the BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he got his calling from God to join the ministry and to be an ambassador for the Lord.

His small prayer group, called ‘Youth for Christ,’ would soon be one of the university’s most popular groups. The group would later to create LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.
The LoveWorld ministry under the direction of Chris the pastor, Chris was a pioneer for satellite television as well as Christian TV programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel to be broadcast 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air networks.
