He is pledging to compete against Gustavo Petro (his main rival) to be the winner of the House of Narino quota.

Gutierrez woke up this Saturday and set out to Boyaca, a traditional church district which Petro went to on Friday. The former mayor, now running for the center-right, made his way to Tunja where he met with academics, businessmen and businessmen as as agricultural producers and peasants.

Fico attended his principal meeting at Tunja Convention Center. He was joined by a number of important citizens who pledged their loyalty to the elections on May 29.

The second-placed voter on the ballot, the pointer made it to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira. This is a strategic site where many faithful and their followers travel from different parts of the country each weekend. In the midst of the gazes of his followers, as well as those waiting to receive the morning Eucharist, the leader from the center-right kneeled and offered himself to the Virgin Mary.

“I sought the Virgin to help me gain wisdom. He answered that I had requested his help for my family as well as for peace and for the most humble.

The presidential hopeful was also recorded on video at this location. Before entering, the presidential candidate sat down with a lot of residents from the area. They embraced the president and wore a representative wardrobe from Colombia.

Gutierrez arrived wearing the customary Boyacan red ruana and the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira on his chest. This is a gesture of faith that he has used during his campaign. Recall that three weeks ago the Antioquian traveled to Jericho, Antioquia, and attended the birthplace of Mother Laura, the only Colombian saint recently canonized by Pope Francis.

The candidate traveled to Chiquinquira to meet with the people and make some announcements regarding his arrival at the presidential palace. “Key issues for Chiquira included the provision of the drinking water supply to all its citizens, construction and maintenance roads (especially Ruta De los Comuneros and Ubate Chiquinquira sections), as well as tourism to create jobs.

Fico Gutierrez made a statement about the need for work. He said that Tunja is the second largest city on the list in terms of the unemployment rate. Accordingly his plan for government is the creation “about 22,000 new jobs and at least 300 new businesses in Boyaca”.

However, he said that sustainable mobility must be a part of the department. He said that establishing the Strategic Public Transport System was the top priority. He stated together that he intends to keep his efforts to construct roads and cycling routes.

The most recent post on his Twitter was: “Peasants, farmers of Boyaca: We will work to make more opportunities and income for your and re-dignify our field.” Gutierrez is still reaching to the Colombians and share his plan for government, and hoping to be a strong candidate in the next election on Sunday.
