How did Roundup Ready & Roundup come to be?

What is Roundup Ready? , a trademark for a line patentable that contains genetically modified seeds resistant to herbicides Roundup, is a term that is used to refer to Roundup Ready. These crops are called Roundup Ready.

Who invented Roundup?
Glyphosate is the active agent in Roundup, was first discovered as an herbicide in the year 1970 by Monsanto chemist, John Franz. The majority of herbicides of the period were preemergent.
