The Attorney General’s Office will investigate General Zapateiro for possible involvement in politics

On April 25, 2019, General Eduardo Enrique Zapateiro will be notified by the Attorney General’s Office of the opening a preliminary investigation against him in connection to possible participation in political activities.

The Attorney General’s Office analyzed several aspects before deciding to launch a preliminary inquiry. It also checked to make sure it was an official account from the Army commander.

Following by the disciplinary lawyers Zapateiro was found to have violated rules which prohibit members of the public from voting in elections or adopting a stance of violence.

It was in this forum that General Zapateiro wrote a thread on Twitter responding to the candidate, including a very controversial one where he writes “I have not seen any generals on television receiving bad money.” Colombians have witnessed you taking money out of the garbage bag.
